Libcat Terms of Service

Welcome to Libcat, a Library Information System (LIS) developed and maintained by Invothink Systems LLP ("we", "us", "our"). Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully as they contain important information about your legal rights, remedies, and obligations.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Libcat desktop software, you agree to abide by and comply with these Terms and the MIT License. If you do not agree with these Terms or the MIT License, you should not download, install, access, or use Libcat.

2. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when creating and maintaining your Libcat account. You are also responsible for safeguarding your account information and for any activities that occur under your account.

3. License Grant

The Libcat desktop software is licensed to you under the MIT license. You are permitted to use, modify, and distribute Libcat according to the terms of the MIT license. The Libcat web services, however, are proprietary and are not licensed under the MIT license. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Libcat web services.

4. Intellectual Property

All rights, titles, and interest in and to Libcat, including all intellectual property rights therein, are and will remain with Invothink Systems LLP, except as expressly permitted under the MIT license for the Libcat desktop software.

5. Privacy

Your use of Libcat is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

6. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we do, we will post the changes on this page and will indicate the date these terms were last revised. You understand and agree that your continued use of Libcat after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Invothink Systems LLP is established, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

9. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

10. Entire Agreement

These Terms, in conjunction with the MIT license for the desktop application, constitute the entire agreement between you and Invothink Systems LLP regarding your use of Libcat, and supersede and replace any prior agreements you might have had with us regarding Libcat.
